This course prepares the student to be an entry level health care worker. The course consists of theory (lecture) and clinical learning experiences given over a period of 6 weeks for 32 hours per week (day class), and 12 weeks for 16 hours per week

(evening class). The course consists of sixty (60) hours of theory and one hundred (100) hours of clinical. Total clock hours of instruction for this course is 160 hours. Upon successful completion of the nursing assistant course, students will be required to apply for and pass the state competency examination given by the American Red Cross before receiving state certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) upon successful completion of the program.
